Bassingbourn Snowsports Snow boarding

Become fascinated by the art of snowboarding. Experience a completely new feeling. However, to thoroughly enjoy this sensation, it is important to be professionally instructed - our snowboarding school is expert in teaching the basic knowledge to beginners in a short time. For intermediates we offer a good insight into the latest tips to help you on your way to become an experienced snowboarder.

Not sure that you want to join without having a go first....?

I can board already....

If so, then you are welcome to come for Open Practice as a Non-member - but you must meet the minimum falling leaf standard.  If you are coming with (and travelling with) an existing Member then you can pay on the night - else it must be pre-booked and paid with the Bookings Secretary to allow time for a Car-Pass to be sent to you.

Fee: £12 per 2 hour session.  Use of Club Equipment is included (subject to availability)

No idea how to start.....

If that's you, then a one hour Snowboarding Taster session can be run as part of a Friday evening session.  The Snowboarding Taster must be pre-booked and paid with the Bookings Secretary - who will be able to confirm Taster dates .  A Car-Pass will be sent to you.

Fee: £15.  Use of Club Equipment is included

Liked the Taster, what next?

Bassingbourn Snowsports Centre run courses to help you learn what to do - and how to do it safely...

Our Snowboarding Instructor will teach you the basics, from posture on a snowboard through to basic turns.

All this is done over 3 two hour sessions.  Private 1 or 2 hour lessons can also be arranged to suit you, and all lessons can accommodate up to a maximum of 6 pupils.

Sounds good?  Click here to get a list of Course dates and find out about Private Lessons.....

Most beginners on the snow spend the first few days learning to stand up and keeping their balance.  It's much better to learn this part on the Dry Slope and so when you get onto the snow, you have the confidence and ability to explore more of the ski area.

Make the most out of your holiday, don't spend a week falling down, spend your week going down the hills with the wind in your hair, carving great turns into the piste......

Be in control of the board, not frightened by it
