Parties for all ages
Are you looking for a party idea? Something with lots of fun and action! Why not try a Swiss Bob party tobogganing down the slope on individual sledges. After last season’s successful launch of Snowbike - a steerable sit-on bike where you control where you go (under 14 only) and donut parties, sliding and even spinning in inflatable rings.
If you and your friends would like to try skiing or boarding, we provide a 2 hour Skiing party. These are suitable for beginners or experienced skiers. If you just cannot decide, you can opt for a combined party of Skiing with Swiss Bobs, Donuts or even Snowbikes.
A seating area is available for hire for you to bring a tea party. Birthday parties for all ages are welcome, as well as youth groups or even your next corporate night out!
Saturday Afternoon Sledging is ideal if you would like to have a go at tobogganing, individual afternoon sessions are available on selected Saturdays. Please contact the Bookings Office for a vehicle pass. From only £7 per person.
Parties are for everyone - from 5 to 99 - and they are customised for YOU

What size is a Group?
For parties involving snowboarding, the maximum party size is 6, and the prices are based on 6 people attending (i.e. if there are less than 6 people, then there is not reduction in the cost).
For other parties, the minimum group size is 10 people. Groups can be bigger, of course, and the number of instuctors and/or supervisors will be appropriate for the party size.
Mixed abilities
OK, but what about my Group I’ve only got 10 and some can ski and others
can’t.
That’s easily handled...
The maximum number that can be in a Group with a single
Instructor is 10 so if you can find people of similar ability to make up two
larger groups that’s great. If you can’t, then for an additional fee, the Centre
can offer a second Instructor so that your group can be split into two smaller
sets.
And how big can my Group be?
Up to 30 people for ski, and for ski and tobogganing mix.
Up to 25 for tobogganing only
Note
Note that the maximum numbers in the ski groups may be reduced if people in the groups are all the same age/size due to equipment availability
How does it work?
- Ring the Bookings Secretary on 0845 0728 293 to reserve your proposed date
- Next, organise your Group
- At least 14 days before your date send the full fee to the Bookings Secretary
- At least 7 days before your date, you will need to give the Bookings Secretary all the car
registration numbers requiring access to the center.
Car passes will then be sent to you to distribute to the drivers (who must bring some photo id) in good time for your event.
People can be substituted right up until the night, but new cars can’t be added. If you’re not sure which cars will be dropping off or collecting from the party just ask for passes for all of them!
What does it cost?

Additional Instructors
If your group would like an extra Instructor because of the mixed ability, then ADD £30
Adult supervision for under 18 groups
An under 18’s group can contain one participating Adult organiser for every 10 children - BUT that Adult is expected to help the Instructor(s) supervise the Group in respect of discipline and control.
School parties
We know that for most school and Youth Organisation groups there is a requirement on the group leader to ask "Independent Providers Questions" prior to booking. On our Download page, you will find the Centre’s answers to the 2003 Cambridgeshire LEA questions. Note that you should discuss your booking with the Bookings Secretary if your group has a significant number of disabled people (so we can ensure that we have the right staff in place), or if everyone is the same size (e.g. all very small, or very big) so that we can check that we have enough equipment of the correct size for your group.
