General

It isn't difficult to improve your skiing or boarding at Bassingbourn Snowsports Centre as we cater for all levels of ability, from complete beginners through to racers. Our philosophy is that all snowsport disciplines should offer you an unforgettable experience, whether you opt for a taster lesson, party or advanced lessons. Young or old, we all have something that we'd like to improve or change. It may be fear or lack of technical skill that gets in the way of the big snowsports adventure. Bassingbourn has experienced instructors, many of whom have covered everything from tots’ ski school to advanced teaching on snow.

Our snow sport school has several different courses to choose from. If you are unsure as to what is suitable, please contact our Bookings Office to help you find the right course and instructor.

The Centre offers all sorts of lessons - both skiing and snowboarding - for all sorts of people!

If you know the number of the course you are interested in, you can check to see if there are any places left, by contacting the bookings secretary.

Skiing Lesson options

Enjoy the freedom of skiing whether a complete beginner or an experienced carver, our qualified and experienced instructors are able to offer tuition, guidance and advice at all levels. An ideal opportunity if you have booked a holiday, as a complete beginner we are able to help you achieve a standard that will give you the freedom and confidence to start exploring the mountains. All lessons and sessions include equipment hire and are designed to offer safe and enjoyable learning, after all we would like you to return and continue improving your skiing skills.

Taster Lessons

held every Sunday to "have a go"

Skiing Courses

held on 3 or 4 nights, in two hour sessions, suited to Beginners but with Intermediate and Advanced versions available

Private Skiing Lessons

for those who want to learn alone, or with a small group of friends

Group Lessons

to cater for larger groups (up to 10), with lesson content suited to ability, and held as a single two hour session.
Ideal for schools ski trips, clubs, cubs, scouts, brownies, guides - or a company evening out.

Snowboarding

Become fascinated by the art of snowboarding. Experience a completely new feeling. However, to thoroughly enjoy this sensation, it is important to be professionally instructed - our snowboarding school is expert in teaching the basic knowledge to beginners in a short time. For intermediates we offer a good insight into the latest tips to help you on your way to become an experienced snowboarder.
