Autumn Half Term Tobogganing Day

Wednesday 28th October Bassingbourn Snowsports Centre is opening up for tobogganing. I am also inviting JC to the day. £5 if you are not a full club member or have Sunday supplement (which can be purchased for £40 per year). You can ski for the day 10am - 4pm, bring along a picnic.

Halloween

Saturday 31st October is Halloween and you are welcome to come along to JC dressed up It must be safe to ski in. There will be fun and games on the slope. Usual time slots available.

Signing In

When you sign in, could you please remember to book ahead the time slots that you'll want for the weeks ahead. This information helps us ensure we make the best use of our instructors and that we can prepare boots and skis ready for you on arrival. You'll find the booking sheets for the weeks ahead on the counter in the ski room.

Thank you to everyone for all your patience over the last few weeks. From this week we will be using the new kitting up area and the new skis. I would also like to say a big thank you to the JC parents who have given me their continued help. Please remember JC cannot run without the help of ALL the parents.

Sat 12th Sep 2009

Junior Club starts again on Sat 5th September. If you have a friend that is interested in learning to ski then bring them along, the first 3 weeks of Junior Club is "bring a friend". Parents are also welcome to come along and have a taster ski lesson.

Don't think you've left it to late to send of your cheque for JC. Sharon will be at the club on Saturday 5th September with the facilities for you to pay by credit card. Just remember to bring a photograph along for the membership card.

The children's committee will be meeting once every six weeks, so if you have any comments or suggestions, you can speak to one of them (they are in the blue JC sweatshirts). You can also contact myself (Donna Lewis).

Saturday 19th September there will be no JC, due to the army switching off the electricity.

Racing

Introduction to Race Training will continue from 1.30 - 3pm after JC every other week starting on the 26th September.

Race training is still on, on a Monday evening. We now have JC members (and parents) who are part of the Bassingbourn Race Team, they have been racing at other slopes in the area. If you would like to join them go along on a Monday evening.

Clothing Collection

We will be holding another collection in October, so we would appreciate it if you could keep Clothes, bedding, bags & shoes and bring them along to the club on the collection date Wednesday 7th October. Bags are available from the club.

Tesco vouchers have been collected, thank you for sending them to me, we have 'banked' them this year. We collected approximately 4,000.

Christmas pantomime

Oh no it's not! It's still not to late to put your name down for the Christmas pantomime at the Gordon Craig Theatre, Stevenage on Sat 5th December. £15.50 per person. Please let me know if you would like tickets.

Thank you for your continued support, as I keep saying without the help of parents JC would not keep running.
